XVIII-A member of the Police Force is provided with medical attendance free. If sick in hospital, a small stoppage of about 20 to 30 cents a day is made from

his

pay

if not above the rank of Sergeant, and from 45 to 75 cents a day if of the rank of Inspector. Should be, however, be absent from duty on the ground of illness for a period exceeding 10 days at any one time, or 28 days in all in any one year, he may be placed upon half-pay during such excess.
